Texas A&M To Offer Business Security Programs

Eighty percent of businesses affected by a major incident close within 18 months, and one in five businesses suffers a major disruption every year. These facts prompt the Continuing and Professional Studies Office (CAPSO) at Texas A&M University to offer two programs this spring focusing on business continuity planning and vulnerability assessment, from design and mitigation to strategy.
Business owners, representatives and key personnel who want to build resiliency into the nation’s business infrastructure will have the opportunity to gather April 22-24 at Texas A&M and May 14-15 on the campus of Prairie View A&M University.
Public safety and security experts from the Industrial Security Section of the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) will provide information to equip businesses with practical knowledge and skill sets to help ensure business success in the face of adversity. TEEX personnel conducting the programs have more than 60 years of combined experience in security and safety – criminal justice, business continuity, vulnerability assessments and emergency preparedness.
