Hotel rooms are full, restaurants are busy and things are bustling at the Brazos County Expo. The National Brahman Show is taking place at the Expo Complex this weekend. 250 exhibitors and 700 vistors from 9 states are in town this weekend during a usually slow time for tourism.

Brazos County Judge Randy Sims says this is the largest event ever held in this community. He says that influx of people is a big boost to the economy. He says heads need beds and bellies need to be full and that means an increase in sales taxes. The National Brahma show kicked off Wednesday and runs through the weekend at the Expo.
