It's Chamber Week in Bryan and College Station.
A proclamation was made by Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski and College Station Mayor Nancy Berry Wednesday morning during a breakfast at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments office to honor the local Chamber of Commerce.
Upwards of 100 people attended the event to honor the efforts of the Chamber to promote local businesses and economic growth in the community. Texas A&M's mascot, Reveille, was also on hand.
The mayors noted that while Bryan and College Station may be two cities, but businesses and the economy don't necessarily know that.
The Chamber Week proclamation officially runs from October 17-21. Tuesday, the Chamber hosted its annual Youth-to-Career Fair for local 8th graders at the Brazos County Expo. Thursday is one of its monthly Business After Hours events at Chrome: A Salon Experience in College Station.
