Higher Taxes On Sodas Not Effective In Fighting Obesity

As a tool to fight obesity. The Obama Administration proposed taxing soft drinks.

However, a new study suggests higher taxes on sodas may not be effective in fighting obesity.

Researchers found that adding up to a 40 percent tax on high calorie drinks would only cut about 13 calories a day from a person's diet.

Experts say taxing the owners of restaurants and vending machines might not be effective in fighting obesity.
