When you head to school or work Halloween day expect some signal changes at SW Parkway and Highway 6 in College Station.
Beginning at 9:30am, the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will turn on the newly installed signals located at the SH 6 Frontage Road intersections with Southwest Parkway. The signals will be in flash mode and temporary lane closures will be in place for the removal of existing signal poles. The signal will be fully operational by the afternoon commute.
One new feature associated with the new signals will be two left turn lanes for Southwest Parkway traffic turning onto the northbound frontage road.
This work is part of the $283 thousand dollar SH 6 Signal Project contracted to South Texas Illumination. The project is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2013
