Many were nominated, but only three took home the Better Business Bureau's Torch award.
The annual event held out at Pebble Creek Country Club honors those who place a high value on marketplace ethics.
The following business were honored with the award:
Category 1 (Small Business) – Awarded to 1-Above Pest Control
Dennis and Katy Fink, owners and operators, of 1-Above Pest Control have been in business for 8 years. Their main focus is to help people solve their problems and to follow the golden rule of treating their customers the same way they would want to be treated. Their hope is that each customer pleased with their service will send them another customer, and their business will snowball.
A reference stated, “He cares about each of us as customers like we are family. His integrity and passion for his work are incredible, and I am always comfortable in knowing that he will be upfront with issues and stating his best thoughts for resolving them.”

Category 2 (Medium Business) – Awarded to Acme Glass Company

Category 3 (Large Business) – Awarded to C. C. Creations

They believe that their continued success depends on their ability to continuously strengthen relationships with employees, customer and vendors. They also operate with a “Whatever It Takes” mentality with employees who go above and beyond to make something happen.

The purpose of this award is to recognize those businesses committed to maintaining exceptionally high standards of ethical behavior in buyer and seller relationships.
