POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the upkeep and inventory of the rooms at the Villa Bed & Breakfast and preparing breakfast for Villa guests.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Food preparation
o Coordination of breakfast service set up and display
o Prepare finger foods for wine and cheese events
o Responsible for breakfast service and clean up afterwards
o Other duties as assigned
• Housekeeping
o Responsible for event cleanup
o Set tables for following day’s breakfast
o Interact with customers during morning breakfast service
o Maintenance and care of guest rooms and common areas to the highest standards
o Inventory, order and maintain adequate supply of linen, cleaning supplies and amenities
o Maintain laundry inventory
o Maintain housekeeping closets, cleaning supplies, guest room supplies and amenities
o Address customer needs in a timely manner
o Perform night clerk duties such as late check-in, reservations and guest requests
o Other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
• Related experience in cleaning and housekeeping
• Able to perform set-up and wait staff duties as needed
• Must have excellent people skills and ability to assist guests with their needs
• Food handler’s certificate
• Must have excellent breakfast cooking/preparation skills
• Must be detail oriented and able to coordinate various activities simultaneously
• Ability to deal with guests, co-workers and business associates in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to work independently
• Must be people and hospitality oriented

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand or sit for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
