Job Status: Full Time
Work Schedule: Managers are expected to work the number of hours required to complete their tasks. Must attend required weekly and monthly meetings.
Reports To: Guest Center Manager
Amount of Travel Required: N/A

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the growth, direction, and maintenance of The Wine Bar at Messina Hof. The purpose of the Messina Hof guest center is to welcome visitors of Messina Hof as family guests into the Messina Hof “living room” and to embrace them as personal friends of our Messina Hof family. The Wine Bar is the Messina Hof family table where we assist our guest in any way possible in selection, education, and consultation.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Director
• Responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Wine Bar sales and operations
• Making sure each guest is maximally comfortable
• Responsible for making sure the Wine Bar is clean and neat, displays polished, and merchandise dusted daily
• Budgeting
• Supervise Wine Bar personnel
• Merchandising plans and scheduling execution
• Marketing and development of the Wine Bar
• Maintaining full stock of deli food items, wines and food items, and gift items
• Maintenance of food areas in accordance with health department codes
• Maintain 95 or better in health inspections
• Developing and executing sales goals and target products
• Maintaining daily sales numbers and sales histories by salesperson, sales calendars, manpower scheduling, and tour statistics
• Be responsible for ensuring open and ongoing communications with administration and staff
• Ensure your department members receive appropriate training in all areas
• Make sure restrooms and food preparation areas are sanitized and stocked each morning
• Maintenance of deck area as a clean inviting environment
• Sales
• Sales and tastings
• Leading tours of facility
• Responsible for all opening and closing procedures
• Education of Messina Hof guests on wine as food and wine/food combinations
• Seasonal promotions of gifts
• Increase market share of Wine Bar and coordinating marketing initiatives
• Promote tastings, parties, and repeat sales at the winery
• Establish rapport and maintain relationships with good customers
• Sale of Messina Hof products for special events
• Targeting and soliciting groups for Messina Hof tours and tastings
• Forwarding leads to other company departments
• Contacting profitable groups who have previously toured to invite them to return
• Identify and communicate all items to be promoted based on goals to sales staff
• Inventory Control
• Maintain 0 shrinkage
• Account for all movement
• Maintain inventories of salable gift items, promotional materials and all food products
• Responsible for monthly inventory and other inventories as needed
• Maintain daily knowledge of floor stock, case goods by vintage, food stock and supplies
• Other duties as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
• Related degree and/or 3-5 years related experience
• Experience in customer service
• Ability to use a Personal Computer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and POS system
