KBTX Media, the 2012-2013 TAPB Station of the Year, is looking for a full-time anchor/multimedia journalist. The person hired for this exciting opportunity will co-anchor our 90-minute morning show, Brazos Valley This Morning, and then turn a story for our evening newscasts.

We’re looking for someone who is full of energy and excitement at 5:30 a.m. and can show off their personality, but also have full command of the anchor desk during breaking news and wall-to-wall coverage.

The ideal candidate is someone who can make an IMPACT and EXCEL with their reporting. Someone who can come up with exciting, relevant, enterprise stories and wants to have the lead story every night.

You must know how to combine shooting, writing, editing, graphics and live shots into stories people will remember.

You must be passionate about getting the story first, getting it right and beating the competition both on-air and on-line (web and social media).

We need someone with a good work ethic, strong people skills and the ability to be a team player and maintain a professional attitude at all times.

Two years of news/anchoring and a college degree in broadcast journalism or related field required. Experience with Sony EX-1 cameras, Sony XPRI non-linear editing software and ENPS is a big plus.

E-mail written resume and link to resume reel to jobs@kbtx.com. Include how you found out about this position.

A drug screen and motor vehicle records check are conditions of employment. KBTX Media is an equal opportunity employer and participates in E-Verify.
