AUSTIN, TX – Today through Saturday, actors Ben McKenzie and Kerry Washington are touring universities across Texas to discuss why Senator Obama is the best leader to bring Americans together to choose the future over the past and bring fundamental change to Washington D.C. The actors, stars of The O.C., and Ray and the Fantastic Four, respectively, will speak with students before leading them to vote at early voting locations near campus.
Tomorrow, McKenzie and Washington will visit Rice, Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M Universities. Saturday, they host a canvass kick-off in Austin and host a rally at Trinity University in San Antonio. Today, Ben and Kerry visited Southwestern University, Huston-Tillotson University, St. Edwards University and University Of Texas- Austin.
Ben McKenzie, a native of Austin, Texas, is best known for playing Ryan Atwood on the television series The O.C. Like Senator Obama, he spoke at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.
Kerry Washington is best known for her roles as Ray Charles' wife, Ray and Alicia Masters in Fantastic Four.
