Bring the world into your home by being a host family for one week for the international cast of Up with People!
Up with People is a global education program for young adults -- and it is coming to Brenham this month!
The Up with People program provides students (ages 18 to 29) with first-hand exposure to social issues and provides the opportunity to address local community needs and make an impact all over the world.
In the Up with People program, students travel to out-of-the-way towns and cultural capitals in North America, Latin America and Asia. They learn about how culture, politics, economics and social issues differ from country to country.
Students will be in Brenham March 17th - March 24th!
While in Brenham, we are excited to be working with Brenham High School, the Brenham Banner Press and Appel Dodge, and this local program will support the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.
Host families are needed! As a host family you provide:
- A place for the student to sleep
- Most meals (breakfast & dinner)
- Limited transportation to our training facility (Brenham High School Auditorium)
- An open environment to share cultures
It is a great opportunity to make international connections! With students arriving in less than 2 weeks we need all the help we can get. Do you know anyone else that might be interested?
Would you be able to pass this opportunity on to your coworkers, friends, neighbors, etc?
We really appreciate your help and support!
