LOS ANGELES (AP) - It's good to be Spider-man. It means you can spend ten million dollars for about an acre of land and then
probably pay millions more to have a house built on it.

The Los Angeles Times says Tobey Maguire has paid about ten mil for
property in the upscale Brentwood section of Los Angeles.

Maguire has done well in real estate. The Times says back in 2002 he bought a Hollywood Hills home for a little more than three and a half million dollars.

He had it refurbished and then sold it five years later for close to 11 million.
