LOS ANGELES (AP) - Rob Lowe and his wife aren't waiting to see what their former nanny wants to reveal. They're suing her now for
defamation, breach of contract and a bunch of other stuff.

In a column on the Huffington Post, Lowe says the former nanny is
demanding he and his wife pay her 1.5 million dollars by the end of the week or she will accuse them "of a vicious laundry list of false terribles."

Lowe says she worked in their home and traveled with them and their two sons off and on for seven years, "without complaint."

Lowe says "when people make false claims of harassment particularly for financial gain, it must be defended vigorously and openly, for it weakens the claims of legitimate victims."
