New film explores racial question through a unique connection

NEW YORK (AP) - A new film is tackling the nation's racial
issues through the unique tale of two men of different races who
have the same name.
The documentary is called "Meeting David Wilson." In it, a
black filmmaker named David Wilson contacts a white North Carolina
man of the same name and informs him that his white ancestors used
to own slaves who are the black Wilson's ancestors.
The North Carolina Wilson says the experience shows that
"conversation is a lot more effective than confrontation."
And he agreed to take part in a DNA test to see whether they
might also be related. Those results are revealed in the film.
"Meeting David Wilson" airs tonight on MSNBC.
