The 5th annual Harestock Music Festival will take place August 18-19, 2012 in College Station, TX. It will be located at The Beer Joint on Hwy 30 east. There will be live music from 1 pm – 12 am as well as food, vendors, various booths and attractions, a silent auction, raffles, and more. Gates will open at 12 noon.
Harestock will take place on Sunday, August 19. There will be 3 stages set up for full band and acoustic musical acts. This year the line-up includes such Texas artists as John Evans Band, Buster Jiggs, Drew Kennedy, Adam Carroll, Mark Jungers, Little Brave, Dave Fenley, Big John Mills, Johnny Falstaff, Opie Hendrix, and Kent Finlay as well as local artists Claire Domingue, Eric Fisher, Britt Lloyd, Ben Morris and the Great American Boxcar Chorus, and more. There will be 30 musical acts total.
There will also be an Official Harestock Pre-Party on Saturday, August 18. It will feature musical acts from all over Texas and such local musicians as The Six String Boys, Joey McGee, Ryan Davenport, and Twisted Fate.
Harestock is an annual benefit music festival started in 2008 by Ben Morris and the Great American Boxcar Chorus. Every year Harestock picks different charitable organizations that benefit from the funds raised. It is 100% non-profit. All the money raised is given away and all the artists that perform do so free of charge. This year, Harestock will benefit KEOS 89.1 Community Radio, The Cheatham Street Foundation, The Red Door School of Music, The Academy of Texas Music, and The Great American Boxcar Charity.
