Howdy and welcome to the first ever “Picture of the Week”. I would firstly like to welcome back all the Aggies and Buccaneers to the best college city in Texas. Also, congratulations to all the freshman who have been accepted to Texas A&M and will be embarking on an amazing four years of Aggie events. Summer is almost over and it is yet again that time to begin moving into apartments, townhomes, or houses. This fall is guaranteed to be amazing, and I will be bringing you pictures of some of the events and unique places that can be found in and around College Station. With that being said, the first ever picture of the week is one of our historic downtown Bryan at sunrise. Isn’t it beautiful?

With all the excitement of moving and shopping that is occurring, I encourage you to explorer downtown Bryan when hunting for your new furniture and décor. Many of the shops downtown are Aggie owned and operated. Shop owners are friendly and willing to help out a fellow Aggie in finding new and unique pieces to make your apartment feel like home. Not all your necessities need be purchased from the box store. Need ideas for decorating? Why not check out our Home Decorating Ideas page for inspiration. Downtown provides not only great shopping, but beautiful scenery for a stroll on a sunny afternoon.

As a reminder to returning students and newcomers alike, downtown Bryan is also home to “First Fridays”. The first Friday of every month businesses stay open later, live special events such as bands are hosted, and movies are shown. First Friday encourages the appreciation of Bryan/College Station culture and promotes the community to support locally owned businesses. Whether you’re shopping for a new desk or just need a break from unpacking, why not visit downtown Bryan.
