Deep breath now Ags! This week and next week mark the start of midterms, that time when all professors conspire to give exams on the same day and back to back. Not really, but it is one tough time in Aggieland and I expect many of you, like me, have found yourself buried deep within too many books. Within the next week I’m sure several of you will start to feel as if you live in the library, and you may even have to get creative to find places to study in Evans Library. I always go straight to the sixth floor myself, it’s a ‘quiet zone’ floor and often many people forget its existence. I encourage you not to forget to stay healthy through all this stress! Getting plenty of sleep and eating regularly will significantly improve concentration and retention. Also, if you are feeling stressed try going for a walk or take an hour off to do something physical. Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and refocus the mind.

There are also many on campus tutoring sessions for those of you feeling less than confident in your trouble classes. Often times you just need a new perspective on the lesson to understand what you were previously missing. Flashcards and study guides are also some great techniques I have seen fellow Aggies using to prepare for midterms. The benefit to this method is, when finals approach, you already have half a semesters worth of information ready to review. I wish all of you the best of luck on midterms, and don’t forget to stay healthy! Gig ‘em!
