This past weekend many locals joined together at Blue Baker on University here in College Station to eat cookies! Well, not just eat cookies. They were supporting the seventh annual “Cookies for Kids” day. Each year the Children’s Miracle Network teams up Blue Baker to host one delicious competition. A cookie eating competition.
Children of all ages sign up before, or even that day, and race to win the title of most cookies eaten. As you can see by the pictures, there was quite the turn out. Ages ranged from 1 year old to the over 18 years category. The overall winner won a free cookie once a day for a year! What a great prize for supporting such a meaningful cause.
Though not everyone could win, there is nothing quite like eating your fill of free freshly baked cookies. Competitors were given a glass of milk to wash down the cookies with as well. This coupled with the excellent fall weather made the entire event a spectacular success. Blue Baker has the full list of winners from each age category available to those who would like more information.
