Happy Wednesday College Station, and welcome back to another picture of the week.
This past weekend was filled with many events for the Brazos Valley. Friday, as I informed you, was Aggie Ring Day for over 1600+ Aggies. Congratulations again! Saturday, was the second annual Brazos Valley WorldFest held at the Wolfpen Creek Amphitheatre.
Booths were set up by the cultural groups from around the city and the University as well. “The Marketplace” included booths for attendees to purchase various products from exotic locations, and many booths in the cultural zone sold foods from their native countries.
Local businesses provided food for the less adventurous as well. The culturally diverse booths were complemented by entertainment from such groups as Bandan Koro, an African Drum and Dance Ensemble from Dallas, Texas, and the Brazos Valley Belly Dancers. Bandan Koro invited children on stage and taught them an African dance, which they enjoyed.
Though it was windy, the event went smoothly and patrons had a fantastic time. This coupled with the exciting Aggie win over Alabama made for an excellent weekend in the Brazos Valley.
