The beginning of classes last week also began the 2012 sports season for Aggieland. This fall will see a variety of firsts such as the first SEC football game. We are also rooting for repeats like last year’s Women’s Basketball Team Championship. No matter the sport though, funds are necessary to keep these teams and events running.
Pictured here is the Texas A&M Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Team at one of the many profit shares going on around town. Profit shares are a great way to help contribute to the local high school and university teams. Many local businesses like Spoons, Chick-fil-a, and Red Mango are willing to help out these teams with profit shares. The girls above did their profit share at Red Mango this past week to raise funds. If you are eating out this week and see a team doing one of these profit shares, consider contributing. The business contributes a percentage of all purchases to the team, so there is no cost to you, only the very generous business.
Team member Elyssa Grant informed me of their next profit share which will be held at Yogurtland on September 5th. I encourage you to go out for some frozen yogurt between 7:00 and 10:00 PM and support the Ultimate Frisbee girls!
