Last night up and coming country artist, Hunter Hayes, performed his new single, “I Want Crazy”, for the first time at the Academy of Country Music Awards. I was thrilled not only to see Hunter performing new music Sunday night, but also to see how far he’s come with his career in such a short period of time. Fall of 2011 he released his debut album, last year he performed at a smaller venue called “Fan Jam” for the ACMs, and a few months later he signed on to open for Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” tour. Oh, and last night he performed along side Stevie Wonder!
“I Want Crazy” is the first song to be released from Hayes’ deluxe album “Encore” set to release in June. In addition to his latest single, “Encore” will include eight brand new tracks as well as eight re-recorded tracks from his debut self-titled album. If that wasn’t excited enough, Hunter has also collaborated with Ashley Monroe and Jason Mraz on his new songs.
Be sure to check out the new single below and follow Hunter Hayes on Twitter for the latest news on his music.
