Alright, let’s get things started. If you’ve been ex-communicated from the viral community for the past few days, here’s the one clip taking YouTube by storm (credit to a Texas A&M alum; one-and-done or not, it still counts!):
Now, I know that was a great dunk and everything, but I’m not going to go overboard (like a lot of the ESPN commentators have been) and declare this “the greatest dunk of all time,” or anything. Heck, it might not even be the best Clipper-related highlight --- from the same week:
Geez, not only is that team entertaining, but now it’s looking like they’re getting really dangerous too; about time the Lakers finally got out of the spotlight – even though it’s not like the media will let the whole “Lakers saga” story die. At least we’ll get to stop talking about them after the first round this year and finally get to focus on basketball – because there’s been some great storylines this year in the NBA (i.e. the aforementioned “Lob City,” the Heat’s 20-game[and counting] win streak, and even the resurgent Knicks). Here’s to hoping that this excitement continues, and we don’t end up with another NBA Finals matchup with the Spurs in it!
So, this being Spring Break and all, I figured that this next video might be fairly relevant to this week’s post – especially due to the fact that I’m usually that guy at the party:
It’s like my father always told me: “you’re either the life of the party, or… you’re not.” It’s kinda funny, I never really realized how true how true (and literal) his advice would heed until I finally got to college; weird how that works.
Speaking of harsh realizations, here’s a video of a cute pup learning one of the harsh truths of life:
Alright gang, that’s going to do it for this installment. I hope you all have a great week; as for myself, I’m going to spend the next handful of days wandering about aimlessly in the Northwestern US, tricking myself into thinking that I’m “gaining inspiration for writing and stuff,” and not just “wasting time and stuff.” See you guys next week!
John Obenauf -Look, Denver, I know the Broncos just signed Wes Welker and all, but why doesn’t anybody care about the Nuggets?
