4th of July Fun around Every Brazos Valley Corner

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas - It's just about time for one of the most explosive holidays of the year, and crews all around the Brazos Valley are gearing up to go out with a bang.

If you're looking for a full day of 4th of July fun, head over to the George Bush Presidential Museum and Library for the annual "I Love America" celebration. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with free admission all day. The Brazos Valley Symphony will perform a free concert later on, and the fireworks start at 9:45.

The fun and festivities at Washington on the Brazos kick off at 10 Friday morning, with park attractions open to the public. There will be plenty of free goodies, including free Blue Bell ice cream. A free concert with country music singer Josh Ward starts at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks show at 9:15.

If you find yourself in Huntsville this 4th of July, you'll have plenty of family fun to choose from at Kate Barr Ross Park. The Fourth of July celebration entertainment will commence at 4 p.m. with the fireworks show beginning at dark.

Over in Navasota, the annual Patriotic City Parade will start things off at 10 a.m. at the Prosperity Bank. When the parade ends, the party begins with carnival games, free food, drinks games and music at the Navasota Center..

This 4th of July will be First Friday in Downtown Bryan. Among the festivities, the Brazos Valley TROUPE and Brazos Valley Community Band will perform a free concert at the Palace Theater starting around 6 p.m., with a free movie beginning after dark.
