(The Huffington Post) - Say goodbye, Mr. Bond. On Wednesday, about 2,000 movies -- including many Bond titles -- will be removed from Netflix.

Netflix's licensing deals with major studios including MGM, Universal, and Warner Bros. expire May 1. While some news outlets originally reported that these movies were moving to Warner Bros.'s new streaming site, Warner Archive took to Twitter to clarify that this is not the case.

In a statement to The Verge, Netflix made it clear that its goal is to be an "expert programmer" rather than a "broad distributor" of videos. A Netflix representative said that Netflix is adding, more than 500 titles on Wednesday and "this ebb and flow happens all the time."

You can see the entire list of more than 1,800 titles that Netflix is losing at InstantWatcher.

Take heart, though: The "Arrested Development" premiere is just a few weeks away. We think trading a few hundred old movies for that is a fair deal.
