NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (AP) A 15-year-old boy is dead and another 15-year-old boy is in juvenile custody after an attack in a high school corridor near San Antonio.

New Braunfels police say Logan Davidson died Wednesday afternoon of injuries from the Tuesday morning attack at Canyon High School in New Braunfels. Police Capt. John McDonald said Thursday the 15-year-old suspect remains in Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center in Seguin on suspicion of aggravated assault. The suspect's identity is being withheld because of his age.

McDonald said the suspect waited for Davidson after class in a hallway outside their first-period classroom. McDonald says that as Davidson stepped into the hall, he was punched twice in the head and hit his head on a wall.

McDonald said Davidson couldn't fight back. No motive has been disclosed.
