As the sun shines brighter and brighter and the weather becomes hotter, for most of us our skin becomes dryer and dryer. I don’t know about you but one of the first parts of my body to dry out is my lips. Although lips are a part of one’s skin, they are much more sensitive and prone to drying and burning easier and faster than regular skin. It’s always important to keep your lips as soft, moisturized and rejuvenated as possible so you don’t suffer painful chaps, cracks and burns. So, I have a quick tip you can do as much as you’d like to help keep those lips feeling silky soft at all times.
Next time before you’re ready to take a nice, long, hot shower grab some Chap Stick or lip balm. My personal favorite is Burt’s Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry. It’s 100% all natural and has cured some of my worst chapped lips.
Apply a generous amount before hopping in. Then proceed with your regular shower without wiping the balm off of your lips. The steam created from the heat will be conditioning and revitalizing your lips without you even realizing.
Once you get out, wipe your lips with a washcloth. All of the dead skin cells and loosened skin will be removed revealing extremely luscious smackers! Like I said, you can do this as often as you please. Whenever your lips look in the need for some serious attention or you’re in the mood for quick and easy kissable lips this is the way to go!
