In a series of Tweets over the weekend, the former American Idol finalist slammed this Christmas blockbuster, most notably for its decision to have cast members sing live on camera.

Complaining that Hollywood's treats the singing as a "last priority" in musicals, Lambert lamented:

"I do think it was cool they were singing live- but with that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals. I felt like I should ignore the vocals and focus on the emotional subtext- but the singing was so distracting at times it pulled me out."

Russell Crowe has been singled out by most for his terrible portrayal of Inspector Javert, but most believe Anne Hathaway will win an Academy Award for her role in the film.

"The industry will say 'these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live' but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?" Lambert continued, concluding with a non-apology:

"Sorry for being so harsh, but it's so True!"
