Well everyone, this is my last App of the Week blog. I hope you have enjoyed the poor to mediocre app advice I have given over these last three months. I certainly maybe enjoyed it. I know I’m not leaving any big legacy nor have I induced an app interest revolution. I do hope however that you have enjoyed my weekly blog none-the-less.
For my last hoo-rah, I’m just going to give you a master list of Christmas game apps that help get me through the holidays. They keep me occupied in all of the long lines at the mall bathroom and also on the walk to the mall entrance from the back of the parking lot. Most importantly, however, they can keep you occupied when your younger cousins put on their annual Holiday Dance Recital and Christmas Concert.
With out further ado (Little Drummer Boy Drum Roll Please………) THE LIST!
There’s no denying it, people love Sudoku. It’s time consuming, it’s difficult and it’s insanely addicting. So go nuts!
The Most Addictive Game-Christmas Edition
Seriously, they aren’t lying. I downloaded this one to see what it was about.. and I didn’t put it down for an hour. All you have to do is keep your box from touching the other shapes, and inside the screen. Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong.
If you are a snowboarder, this is an app for you. There are 30 missions to complete, awesome 3D graphics, and 16 in-air tricks to perform, and that isn’t even the start of what is in this game! This is a must-have for a snowboarder longing to get back onto the mountain.
Christmas With Weezer
Some of my favorite games on my iPhone are from Tapulous. I love Tap Tap Revenge, and if you do too, you are going to want to pick up Christmas With Weezer. It’s the Christmas themed pack from Tap Tap Revenge, with the same style and just as much awesomenes… but just a little bit more holiday cheer.
Kids and parents alike can enjoy this little app during the Christmas season. All you do is take some pictures, bring them into the Christmas Camera app, and add features like snow, beards, Santa hats, mistletoe, and all kinds of different goodies!
This one is insanely addictive where you grab stars and snowflakes to keep boosting higher and higher into the heavens, and try to beat your highest score. Super smooth gameplay and awesome graphics make this a really fun little game.
Snowy’s Christmas Pinball
This is a gorgeous looking pinball game, with great graphics, sound effects and a follow-up to the award-winning Monster Pinball. This is one of the premiere pinball apps in the App Store right now, so you are getting your money’s worth when you throw down 3 bucks.
Pocket Devil: Xmas Holiday Edition
In this chapter of Pocket Devil, the Winter Underland is your domain, and you get to be a psycho Santa. Search and Destroy the Mugat2 and participate in a few mini-games like “Mugat2 Slapfest” and “Save-a-Mugat2.” This is a chart-topping app and looks to be well worth the dollar you put in.
Crazy Penguin Christmas
This is an awesome little game with over 50 levels, and a ton of different mini-games within it. Basically you have to help save the North Pole by thwarting the evil polar bears and fight to save Santa and his elves! There is a free version as well as a paid version of this app.
This is a simple little game in which you have to get the presents into Santa’s Sleigh. There are a few difficulty levels, and it gets pretty challenging, but it is a nice time waster for a dollar.
That’s all of them guys! I hope you all have a Happy Holiday and are never once bored this December. It’s been grand, but as Ella Fitzgerald once said, “I really can’t stay.” And as Louis Jordan replied, “But, baby it’s cold outside.” I don’t care Louis. I’m not walking home, I have a car… it even has heated seats! I’m leaving. You ARE the weakest link. GOODBYE!
Okay, I’ll stop.
