There is really nothing I love more than the sound of lowering the needle of a record player onto a vinyl. I have two record players that I love dearly and would take everywhere if I could, but they are a little too big to fit on the dashboard of my car. Just like all of the other first world problems Americans are affected with, there’s an app for that.
You can now, for a mere 99 cents, take your record player wherever you want with a new iPad app called, Vinyl – The Real Record Player. You can listen to your entire iTunes library the old-fashioned or as I like to call it, the Hipster way. You can choose from seven different record players, all from a different decade. Even the old plastic toy 45 Ep’s are an option.
Just like real vinyl’s, when you play one record over and over, you eventually have to dust it off and clean it. Instead of dandelion blowing the dust off of the vinyl though, all you have to do is push the magical ‘clean’ button.
If you aren’t a fan of the scratchy old sounding music, there is a DJ record player that is all ‘Wiki Wiki Fresh’ and what not. But try not to be too cool. If you wear your Beats by Dre headphones and use this app at the same time, you will look real dumb. Just don’t do it.
That’s it For This Week!
