Hello residents of the BCS bubble. I’m Ali, and here to make your life easier. That is, if you have a smart phone. I’m here to tell you all about Apps that can help you out with day to day life right here in BCS. Each week I will feature a different app on this blog that will make your life one step closer to being simpler. By the end of my segment, you will be part of an elite group of tech savvy locals who’s new favorite phrase will be, “There’s an app for that!” So without any further ado, I present the first App of the Week!
This week, I chose none other than yours truly, KBTX News App!
It’s an obvious choice really. Where else can you find BCS local news and weather all in the comfort of wherever you are? I check this app all the time. Anytime I hear sirens or see a cumulonimbus in the distance, I check to see if I need to batten down the hatches. I also use it to keep of with MLB, NBA, and of course NCAA Football. I have been known a time or two to share through Facebook a score update with my friends in Lubbock anytime we BTHO Texas Tech.
You should know that I’m not writing about the KBTX app because I have to, I’m writing about it because I want to. I really don’t go a day without opening it up at least once. I know I’m just a college kid who isn’t expected to know what’s happening in the news, but I make it a point to stay up to date on the headlines, not just because I’m genuinely interested in what’s happening in the world, but because all the stories I read make for great awkward silence fillers. And who doesn’t need those?
So for those who skimmed the article and need a sparknotes version, here it is. KBTX App= Awkward silence filler. Just trust me on this and go download it!
Until next week,
