Emma Watson attends the UK gala screening of 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' on Sept. 26, 2012 in London.
Has the Fifty Shades of Grey film finally found its Anastasia Steele?
News is out that a group of hackers known collectively as Anonymous managed to hack into the internal server of German studio Constantin Films, and leaked several documents. Among the docs was one noting Emma Watson is attached to star in the upcoming Focus Features Fifty Shades film adaptation, confirming a much-buzzed-about rumor.
The studio acknowledged to The Hollywood Reporter that it had, in fact, been hacked, but downplayed the action, saying the documents stolen were out of date and widely accessible to many Constantin employees.
If it's true, Watson, 22, will show just how much she's grown up from her Harry Potter days when she tackles the role of the sexy college student who is seduced by sadistic billionaire Christian Grey.
No director has yet been confirmed for the adaptation of E.L. James's best-selling novel, which is being written by Kelly Marcel and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti.
Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder is still said to be a fan favorite for the role of Christian Grey. On Wednesday's Live with Kelly and Michael, he wouldn't say he was confirmed for that role, though. "There are so many young boys up for this role," the actor said. "I can't say anything other than it's a very interesting story."
