COLLEGE STATION, TX Thursday night a former president was honored in College Station by being on hand for the lighting of the annual Christmas tree at the museum which bears his name.

George H. W. and Barbara Bush dropped by for a special appearance at the Bush Library on the A&M campus.

Ms. Bush was the one who threw the switch.

Organizers say it is a special treat for them each year to spread some holiday cheer - Bush 41 did so with the help of some trademark seasonal socks.
