Police say a Houston-area woman who allegedly was intoxicated has been charged in the accidental run-over death of her husband.

Montgomery County jail records show 56-year-old Ruthie Cook-Scheer of Conroe was being held Sunday on a manslaughter charge. Bond has been set at $100,000.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Cook-Scheer, who was arrested after 66-year-old Frank Scheer was pinned under the car Saturday night and died.

Conroe police Sgt. Brent Stowe says the death appears to have been an accident and the investigation continues. Emergency responders had to use a jack to lift the vehicle off the man.

An autopsy has been ordered.
