There are no words to explain how I feel about Friday night’s game. Fortunately, I was there and got to experience all the tailgating and football fun. The hours leading up to the game were the mot restless hours of my break. So many thoughts were running through my head – “Are we going to lose?” “Is OU going to come out really strong?” “Are we going to finish the second half?” “Will Johnny prove to everyone that he deserved the Heisman?”
The memories of our last Cotton Bowl appearance in 2011 were haunting me, but I kept my hopes up! A&M has been constantly in the spotlight lately so this game, in my eyes, was going to be the last thing people were going to talk about till the upcoming season…which is 237 days away, but who’s counting?
My worries and doubts were quickly swept away after the third quarter. Johnny, the offense, and the Wrecking Crew showed everyone that we are here to stay. We are here to stay at the top.
In the post game interviews done by 12th Man Productions you can see the teams comradery is apparent. I appreciated that each member said something about it being a team effort. It really proves that A&M is one giant family and gives me a reason to stand during every game.
Now that A&M has definitely been put on the map, 2013 can only get better. With the best recruits, best coach, and the best team…we could possibly start preparing ourselves for a national championship. It was a great day to be on Aggie on Friday, but what day isn’t?
