My shopping picks for local men's attire:
American Eagle Outfitters
Listen very closely.. just because you’re a guy doesn’t mean you can get away with rolling out of bed and tossing on a t-shirt you found on your floor. If I have to spend time on how I look, so do you. Guys, it’s only fair! To keep it super simple, I’ve created a list of dos and don’ts for you to take into consideration.
DON’T mix/match the colors your clothes. I understand a lot of men are color blind, but that's not an excuse. When in doubt if something matches, ask a friend.
DON’T wear an Aggie shirt every day of the week, change it up. Throw on a polo every now and then. The ladies will love it!
DON’T put on athletic shorts for everyday attire. They’re called athletic shorts for a reason, the reason being you do athletic things in them. And breaking a sweat while swiftly walking to class doesn’t count.
DON’T put socks with your sandals. It's tacky.
Lastly, I know this doesn’t count for most, but DON’T try to pull off a David Beckham by wearing a pony tail and headband. The only reason he can get away with it is because he’s unrealistically hot. (Shout out to my bro Stratton. Sorry dude.)
And now for some Dos.
DO look and smell your best every day of the week. What does this mean? Take a shower, brush your teeth, put on some deo. We don’t enjoy sitting next to a guy in class who reeks of cigs, beer, and the slight stench of B.O. from the bar the night before.
DO keep it simple. The best way to look put together is jeans and a polo, for a fancier occasion upgrade to khakis and a button up.
DO add some color. Its okay to try on some colors you never thought of before. (pink.. or maybe a tan.)
DO stick to your style. Polo’s and jeans have many different options depending on who you are. If you’re a frat daddy to a country stud to a hipster this basic wardrobe suggestion should help get you started, yet allowing you be who you are.
Thanks for reading dudes, leave any questions, comments, or concerns you might have!
