Fleetwood Mac promised this summer that they'd hit the road again, and the band's staying true to its word.

The group will tour beginning in April, its first run of dates since 2009.

During their break, members took time to work on personal projects -- Stevie Nicks with her "In Your Dreams" album and Lindsey Buckingham with solo shows and accompanying live album. Buckingham previously told Billboard that the group had also reconvened for some new recordings, though perhaps not a full album.

"We may be able to organize something -- I wouldn't think a whole album, but possibly something before we hit the road or, if not then, possibly something a little more extensive after the tour, depending on what everybody wants to do," he said. "The material is quite good, but we have to get everybody on the same page with that, and we'll see where it goes."

The group's last studio album was "Say You Will," released in 2003. The set bowed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
