Who’s ready for the first game?! I know I’m ready for football to start! However, I’m not ready to see girls sweating all of their makeup off in this Texas Heat. So, I have some suggestions for hot weather makeup.

First, decide if you really need or badly want to wear foundation outside.

If the answer is yes, have you considered a tinted moisturizer? They are really my favorite for this time of year (well, most of the year…it’s just plain hot.) Now, I’m aware that buying a new product is not always in the budget. So, if you have a moisturizer (make sure it has SPF so you don’t leave looking like a lobster!) mix it with your everyday foundation. If you need more coverage, add more foundation than moisturizer and if you need less coverage, use more moisturizer.

If you want to do something with your eyes, I have the perfect solution. I have a maroon eyeshadow that I love. I pair it with a light gold and get compliments on my eye makeup all the time when I wear it. Apply the gold all over and blend the maroon on the outer third of your eye. Add a light white or cream to highlight under your brow bone and an eyeliner (please, not black…ever) and you have great gameday eye makeup. Also, make sure you apply a waterproof mascara if you plan to wear it. Sweating off mascara is not attractive!

For lips, just wear a tinted balm with SPF so your lips don’t get damaged from the sun exposure. Plus, you’ll want smooth lips for all of those touchdown kisses…right?

If you absolutely have to wear your hair down, make sure you bring a ponytail holder. Personally, I would just wear my hair up and rock the Barbie ponytail and not worry about my hair for the game.

Hope you enjoy the first game of the season! Check out my Pintrest board for more beauty tips!
