(Daily Mail)-He often plays the nice guy in his movie roles.

And Liev Schreiber showed it’s not all for screen on Saturday as he was spotted carrying out an act of goodwill.

The actor arrived outside his home in Brentwood, California to find a woman had been injured while walking outside the property.

Instead of turning his head the other way, the 45-year-old star was quick to hop off his motorbike and tend to the hurt lady, who was collapsed in the middle of the road.

The Movie 43 actor abandoned his vehicle in order to check out the scene where two other good Samaritans – who appeared to be joggers - were also on hand to aid the female.

Liev could be seen asking the woman a few questions before helping her to her feet.

With his muscular form showing through his sports kit of grey shorts and a T-shirt with black and green shoes, he certainly had the strength to perform the task.

The thespian was also seen rifling through a storage compartment in his motorbike, seemingly to find an items which would help the victim return home safely as soon as possible.

All was evidently well with the star just a few hours later when he returned to his actress wife Naomi Watts, 44, and their children Alexander ‘Sasha’, five, and Samuel ‘ Kai’, four.

They got started on the St Patrick’s Day festivities early by dressing up in green for the Irish holiday.

He tweeted alongside a snap of his youngest son in themed leprechaun attire: ‘Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!!’

Later that day the clan headed to a local restaurant to enjoy a meal together.

They were seen with a friend walking to the eatery while a valet service took care of their car.

The doting dad carried their smallest child in his arms while he munched on a snack and Naomi carried some colouring books and a notepad in her hands.

Liev is set to appear in motion pictures The Butler, Last Days on Mars, Fading Gigolo and TV series Ray Donovan this year.
