There are actually some pretty note-worthy albums coming out this week that I know a lot of CW fans will be excited about. Okay, maybe not the first one, I talk about, but the rest of them, I’m pretty sure you will love.
Kid Rock’s new album Rebel Soul is self-produced and true to his classic long hair don’t care roots. I don’t know much about this guy except he did a song with Sheryl Crow, so I’ll leave it up to The Huffington Post to fill you in. “"Rebel Soul," in Rock's go-to description, is "a greatest-hits album of new songs," an amalgam of Southern rock (the title track), red-white-and-blue salutes ("Let's Ride"), slinky hip-hop ("Cucci Galore") and a hometown tribute ("Detroit, Michigan"). Festive and upbeat, it finds Rock in a more optimistic frame of mind -- one he retains even in the wake of defeat for Mitt Romney, the presidential candidate he backed with several campaign performances.”
Phillip Phillips is on his way to having the same level of popularity amongst mothers and their daughters as Micheal Buble. My mother usually hates the radio stations I listen to, but she LOVES Phillip Phillips. The last time my mom agreed on an artist we like was Adele and Micheal Buble. Phillip Phillips new album, The World From the Side of the Moon, flaunts Phillips fast and tricky acoustic guitar work. He also has a single called, Gone Gone Gone, that is bound to be heard by many wedding goers over the next year.
Pitbull’s new album, Global Warming, is nothing different than what he’s put out before. Most of the songs are in English but some are in Spanish. No matter the language though, expect to hear new Pit Bull songs every Saturday night at the clubs.
Rihanna’s new album Unapologetic is definitely something to check out. She takes her music in a whole new direction. The new single, Stay, has been on replay on my computer for a week now. ‘Stay’ is a ballad, but she also has classic Rihanna bum shaker music that will not disappoint.
That’s it for this week!
