Mason Jar Organizer

My favorite DIY Decorations to make are the ones that serve multiple functions. This week’s decoration looks cute in the bathroom and is also a great way to get clutter off the bathroom counter. It’s a little more work-intensive than some of my other DIY’s, but it looks great and you can tell all your friends “I made that!”

In order to make this week’s mason jar organizer, you will need some Mason jars and their lids, a piece of wood, some stainless steel clamp rings (the same number of rings as mason jars), picture hangers, screws, nails, hammer, and screw driver. An electric drill would make this project a little easier, but it can definitely be done without one.

To begin with, you can paint or decorate your board however you want to match your bathroom. The one we made was for my friend’s bathroom, and she chose to leave the wood unpainted, and it looked really nice. You can also decorate the jars themselves with paint or glitter if you want. Next, attach a few picture hangers to the back of the board. Flip the board over and hammer a nail into the top half of the Mason jar lids so they are connected to the board. Slide the clamps underneath the lids and hammer a nail into the bottom half of the lids to secure them and the clamps. Put the mason jars in the clamps and use a screwdriver to tighten them so the jars are very secure.

In order to attach the organizer very securely to the wall, it might be a good idea to use an electric drill to drill into the wall and use screw anchors and screws to hang it, or you could just put a nail in the wall and hang it that way.

Once it’s on the wall, you can fill the jars with cotton balls, bobby pins, hair ties, or whatever else is cluttering your counter. It’s super cute and super functional.
