Mia Farrow's younger brother, John Charles Villiers-Farrow, has been collared on sex abuse charges, E! News has learned.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department in Edgewater, Md., the actress-activist's 66-year-old sibling was taken into custody Wednesday night on charges he sexually abused two children between 2000 and 2008.

Authorities confirmed that two adult male victims had come forward with "detailed accounts" of the abuse, which they alleged occurred when they were between the ages of 8 and their early teens.

A onetime child actor, Villiers-Farrow faces second- and third-degree sex offense, two counts of perverted practice, two counts of second-degree child abuse, two counts of sex abuse of a minor and two counts of second-degree assault. He is currently being held in an Edgewater jail in lieu of $800,000 bail.

Per court documents obtained by Maryland's Capital Gazette, the alleged abuse took place when the then-juveniles had a sleepover at the sometime screenwriter's home while they were in his temporary care with the permission of their parents. One of the boys apparently lived with him for a short time as well.

No word on the next court date. Villiers-Farrow's attorney could not be reached for comment.

Villiers-Farrow's arrest ironically comes 20 years after the scandal that engulfed his famous sister during her bitter split with then-partner Woody Allen.
After the Rosemary's Baby star found a nude photo Woody had taken of her 20-year-old adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, a fierce custody battle ensued over their three children together, during which time Farrow accused the Oscar-winning filmmaker of sexually molesting their 7-year-old adopted daughter, Dylan.

Allen denied the charge and no case was ever brought, while Farrow ended up winning custody of the kids.

However, at the time of the controversy, Villiers-Farrow told People, Allen "is going to be indicted, and he's going to be ruined. I think when all of it comes out, he's going to go to jail."
So far Mia has remained mum about her brother's situation. A message left for her manager was not returned.
