Mila Kunis Hit With Racial Slur From Anti-Semitic Ukrainian Politician

Mila Kunis was the target of a racial slur.

Ukrainian politician Igor Miroschnichenko reportedly referred to the Ted star as a "zhydovka"—which translates to "dirty Jewess"—in a recent Facebook post.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, one of the most prominent human-rights advocates for the Jewish community, was understandably outraged. In a letter to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, as excerpted in published reports, two rabbis from the Center asked for the country's leader to "speak out against the heinous anti-Semitic slur directed at Ukrainian-born actress Mila Kunis by MP Igor Miroshnichenko."

"Mila Kunis' family, like many thousands of other Ukrainian Jewish families, left the Ukraine in the first place because of anti-Semitism," the letter says. (Mila's family relocated to the United States when she was a young girl.)

"Today she is a respected American actress, who is now owed an apology by the Ukraine. It is a tragedy that even after the Holocaust and the demise of the Soviet Union such hatred and anti-Semitism is still a force in the mainstream of your country."

The rabbis called upon the prime minister to "publicly condemn this attack and to take the measures to defeat the xenophobic forces that threaten your democracy."

E! News' request for comment from Kunis' reps were not immediately returned.
