Name: Chaney Barton
College: Texas A&M University
Major: Business (Marketing); Minor in Journalism Studies
Relationship Status: Taken
What activities are you involved in? While at Texas A&M University, I've had the privilege of being involved in: Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, May's Business School's Freshmen Business Initiative Peer Leading, Aggies for Animal Rescue, Advertising Competition Team, American Marketing Association
What's your guilty pleasure? For the longest, one of my jokes has been that my guilty pleasures are The Ying Yang Twins and cheap Chinese food (not necessarily at the same time, of course). As embarrassing as it may be, it's so true!
How do you prepare for a night out on the town? Getting ready for a night out isn't the same unless you have your girlfriends getting ready with you! After many many MANY outfit changes and swaps, we get Pandora going in the car (Drop it Low Radio is our personal go-to). This usually sets the mood for a terrific night!
What's in your fridge right now? I keep my fridge stocked with the "staples" so that it's relatively easy to make something quick. You'll always find a gallon of unsweet tea in there, too! Currently my freezer is filled with bags of frozen fruit for making smoothies, and a 1/2 gallon of rocky road ice cream for the occasional unhealthy cheat day!
If you were a car, what kind would you be and why? My very first car was a white Ford Mustang with red racing stripes, and throughout high school, everyone told me it was so fitting to my personality!
When you see your crush on campus how do you react? I am all for being "friends first," so if I were to see my crush on campus, my reaction would probably be to play it cool (while freaking out on the inside, of course!). Afterwards, in true girl-fashion, I would over-analyze the whole situation trying to figure out if my crush liked me...
Craziest college experience so far? For my last spring break before graduation, I really wanted to go all out. A big group of my friends decided that Panama City Beach, Florida was the way to go. The road trip was amazing, and we saw a ton of other Aggies all over the town. It was definitely crazy, and a one-time experience, but it was so worth it to be able to say that we went to PCB on spring break!
Describe your dream man: My dream guy is one who knows exactly how to make me laugh and lets me be absolutely ridiculous! I think the best relationships start as friendships. I admire a chivalrous guy, too! Nothing makes a girl feel more special than when a guy will open a door for her!
If you had to listen to one song for rest of your life, what would it be? John Mayer is my all time favorite singer/songwriter, hands down! If I had to listen to one song for the rest of my life, it would be "Stop This Train" from Mayer's Continuum Album! If you've never heard it, check it out... It's all about not wanting to grow up!
What are your plans after graduation? After graduating in December, I plan to work for an advertising agency, hopefully in the Austin or Dallas area. I would love to move to Denver, Colorado for a change in scenery, but I'll always be a small town Texas girl at heart!
