Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and even if you are single or taken you know the thought has popped into your head about what your plans are for the day. Well have no fear I have you covered! Watching a movie is something that you can do in a relationship or single. Whether going to the actual theater or snuggling up on the couch, you can never go wrong with a movie. So I have a list of movies that will be great contenders to watch this Thursday!
Unfortunately from plenty of personal experience I know that if you are single on this day the last thing you might feel like doing is watching a romantic movie, so don’t you worry I have some great flicks that will brighten your day!
A Good Day to Die Hard
All I have been hearing lately is all the hype for the new movie, A Good Day to Die Hard. Now normally people would think that this would be a classic singles movie, but I know some couples that definitely wouldn’t mind seeing this one. So single or taken be sure to keep this movie on your must watch list!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
I think you can never go wrong with a crazy, thriller movie if you are dreading this day and all the romantic movies that will be on TV. Well how about Texas Chainsaw Massacre? After watching the Grammy’s last night and seeing the beautiful Justin Timberlake perform, I honestly don’t mind the idea of watching Jessica Biel run through the woods from a chainsaw.
If you want to kick it old school then I recommend Cruel Intentions, come on it has Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. This movie is full of betrayal and crazy people, what’s not to love about it?!
Now I have some movies for the more romantic side and don't think you have to be in a relationship to watch these! They are for everyone!
Another movie that everyone is talking about is Safe Haven. I am so looking forward to seeing this movie; I have two words for you: Josh Duhamel and let’s be real anything that Nicholas Sparks’ is a part of will be an instant hit. This movie will be great to see with your significant other or with a group of girlfriends. Either way you will find me there opening night to watch this one!
Alright so I hate to get all cliché about this movie pick, but what else better to watch than an actual movie about Valentine’s Day. This movie has so many well-known celebrities it’s hard to keep count, but it is a cute movie with great actors. If you haven’t seen it yet I recommend giving it a try!
So I know I have already mention Nicholas Sparks’, but come on the man is a genius and there can’t be a Valentine’s Day movie list without one of the greatest love stories ever. That’s right you guessed it I am talking about The Notebook. Seriously one of my all-time favorite movies ever and I can’t help but think that the fact that Ryan Gosling is in it might sway my opinion just a tad! Anyways the movie is still a classic and perfect to watch with your boyfriend/girlfriend. Just make sure you have the tissues ready!
A great way to spend this day with your sweetheart is to head to downtown Bryan and check out their screening of the infamous classic, Casablanca. I have to admit the classics know how to do romance! So if you are feeling like you want to try something different be sure to check this one out.
Alright well here you go, plenty of choices for you to check out no matter what your relationship status is! I hope I helped you out and be sure to leave a comment telling me what your favorite Valentine’s Day movie is!
