Three-holidays-the-charm on this Good Friday! National Whatever Days for April 18th include: Pet Owners Independence Day, International Juggler's Day, and Newspaper Columnists Day.
Pet Owners Independence Day
As strange as this holiday is, it would be comical to see if it actually panned out for someone, maybe for someone with a seeing-eye-dog. This holiday aims to switch the roles of pets and their owners by allowing the owners to lounge around the house all day while the pets go to work for them. Not so sure how the boss would like this, but could be worth a shot!
International Juggler's Day
Most of us have seen a juggler at a circus or carnival, maybe even dressed as a clown. Juggling is actually a physical skill involving the manipulation of objects for recreation, entertainment or sport. The most recognizable form of juggling is toss juggling.
Juggling can be the manipulation of one object or many objects at the same time, using one or many hands. Jugglers often refer to the objects they juggle as props. They could be juggling anything from balls, bowling pins, fire torches, chainsaws, rings, etc. The term juggling can also commonly refer to other prop-based manipulation skills such as diabolo, devil sticks, poi, cigar boxes, contact juggling, hooping, and hat manipulation. All these skills are forms of object manipulation.
Newspaper Columnists Day
Though we prefer you get your news from our website our the KBTX site, today is Newspaper Columnist Day. In today's world, the older demographic still likes to read the paper every morning with their coffee and probably has a favorite columnist in a certain newspaper that they look forward to reading daily. If you have a favorite columnist, show them some love today!
Also, don't forget it's Good Friday in remembrance of our Savior Jesus who died for our sins and rose from the grave on Easter Sunday for our eternal life! Oh Happy Day!
