Bryan, TX That moment when you look in the mirror and think: Ugh, I have another one. Now, everybody is going to notice!
Ladies, we have all been there: the annoying pimple. Everyday women across America try to discover the secret for clear, beautiful skin at least that is what Proactive keeps telling us. But when it comes to finding that one product that will solve all of our skin care problems, I have found that you do not have to look far. In fact, the products are looking at you everyday. I have always been a guru for at home remedies and do-it-yourself projects. When it comes to skin care, I am always looking for at home products in my pantry that I can use. Now, some may sound silly, but never underestimate the usefulness of simple products. Here are the top 3 that I have found to be most efficient.
1. Brown Sugar and Milk.
These two combined make for a great sugar face mask. I actually found this in a Seventeen Magazine that I use to subscribe too (back when I was younger, of course). The mixture is extremely simple. Pour about 1/4 a cup of milk into a microwaveable bowl and heat up for about 15 seconds then mix about 2 tablespoon of brown sugar in with the milk. Make circular motions when applying, sit for about 10 minutes and remove. It is fast and you will feel refreshed!
Another simple ingredient, but can be used in many ways. Basically, mash an avocado as you would normally and make it into an avocado mask. Apply to your face and let it sit for about 15 minutes and wash off. The beauty of avocados is they carry natural oils that can enhance any complexion and for individuals with dry skin, such as myself, this technique can be useful because it acts as a moisturizer. Avocados will give you that smooth skin feel without breaking the bank.
Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. This is the most important element that I, personally, believe helps with skin appearance (especially when living in Texas, staying hydrate is part of our daily routine). Water replenishes the body and cleanses your cells of build-up. Since our body's are 60% water, we have been told to live by the "8 glasses a day" rule and although water may not have fancy packaging, personally, I do believe this rule shows it's results. So ladies, stay hydrated!
Just to be clear, I am not a dermatologist and I do not want to be perceived as one. All of my advice has come from personal experience because just like every woman, I too, try to find the secret.
