Super Bowl Sunday Part Two

It’s Thirsty Thursday y’all! The time is finally near… Super Bowl 47 is THIS weekend! The Ravens and the 49ers will face off for the most coveted title in football. Last week I said I’d reveal who I am going for and it is… the Ravens! Since they are my favorite NFL team, picking the Super Bowl victors was no problem. Let’s get in the zone with a Ravens Martini and a Baltimore buffalo style appetizer!
Ravens Martini

3 oz vodka
1 ½ oz cranberry juice
½ oz blue Curacao
½ oz sweet and sour mix
½ can of 7 Up
Sugar

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake to mix thoroughly. If the mixture isn’t purple enough for your liking, add more Curacao to kick it up a notch. Add sugar to the rim of your cocktail glass, pour your Ravens cocktail and get ready for the big game! To be fair to those who are 49ers fans, whip up some red and yellow (it’s close to gold!) jello shots. They’ll keep the atmosphere lively and they’re easy to make. Visit previous Thirsty Thursdays for the recipe!

Although the appetizer is Baltimore buffalo style, trust me everyone will love munching on this treat! Even the ones whose team didn’t even make it close to Super Bowl. It’s that good.
Mini Buffalo Chicken Pizzas

¾ pound chicken breast cutlets
Extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp grill seasoning (Montreal Chicken Seasoning or your choice)
1 package pizza dough
Flour (to handle the dough)
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2-3 tbsp hot sauce (depending on how spicy you like it!)
½ cup tomato sauce
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
½ cup blue cheese crumbles
3 scallions, thinly sliced

Preheat the oven to 425 and heat up a grill pan to high. On a plate, drizzle EVOO on the chicken and add the grill seasoning. Cook the chicken for a few minutes on each side on the grill pan and set aside. Prepare your pizza dough into mini pizza shapes and place on a pizza pan. Make these any size you want depending on the number of guests. Bite size is always more fun! In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and tomato sauce. Thinly slice your chicken and coat with the sauce. Add the buffalo chicken, cheese and scallions to each mini pizza. Bake 18 minutes or until crisp. Is your mouth watering yet?

Hope these recipes help you get ready for Super Bowl Sunday! May the best team win… really may the Ravens win but I’m attempting to be fair here. Don’t forget to check out other Thirsty Thursdays for tons of recipes! Savor this last weekend of football y’all!
