Just as the Film Industry releases movies on Friday’s, the Music Industry releases albums on Tuesdays, so I'm here letting you know the most notable albums coming out and hit on maybe one (not-so-notable) album coming out. Let’s get to business!
First, you must know, that if you fall into the handful of people who’s life’s anthem is the song Rock n’ Roll All Nite by Kiss, you’re in luck. Kiss is back with their 20th studio album this week! This one is called Monster and it available for download October 9th (That’s today!) Although I wasn’t alive in the heyday of big hair and polyester, I still know Kiss is big deal. I can tell this by the multitude of iconic Gene Simmons, tongue, t-shirts I see walking around Wal-Mart.
Another great album coming out this week is The Script’s #3. This Dublin alt-rock ensemble has been tearing at our hearts since they first appeared on the scene back in 2008. This album is expected to be a tad different than their last couple albums. There is even reportedly a bit of hip-hop mixed in with their usual pop-rock, but it is expected to be just as heart-felt and soulful as their past two. This album has songs about heart-break and tragic loss that even one of the band members admits, “He (Mark) cannot bring himself to even play the track in public, and has to leave the room whenever it is played over the studio speakers.” So grab your tissues and download it today!
A lot of people don’t know much about the (Grammy award winning) Wallflowers, but that should change. This rainy day band is great! Their biggest hit came in 1996 with One Headlight, but that does not mean they are has-beens. They haven’t come out with an album in seven years due to a temporary hiatus, so this album is highly anticipated by music lovers everywhere. They are trying to break into the club scene, it seems, with their dancy rock&roll songs like “Have Mercy on Him Now.” It’s an interesting move for a band that is so good at calming their listeners with their smooth, soft rock & roll sound that we have come to love over the past 15 years. This will definitely be an album worth downloading, so go check it out on iTunes and let us know what you think!
