Were you a fan of Billy Ray Cyrus before he became famous through his daughter? No? Well skip forward to the next paragraph. If yes, Lucky You! His new album comes out this week! Don’t expect anything too progressive though. Honkytonk and long hair are still his forte. This album is called Change My Mind, and by that I assume the story is that, after 10 years, he changed his mind and still wants to be relevant. Good luck Miley’s Dad! I hope to see you opening for the next Miley Cyrus tour!

If you have skipped forward to this paragraph, I can assume you are younger than 20 years old and will recognized this next album dropper. Her name is Taylor Swift and Kanye West is not her friend. This album, named Red, is a mix between her country roots and her pop-star highlights. Swift is going through her, not a girl, not yet a woman phase, so don’t expect anything too prolific. She does however don candy apple red lipstick on the album cover, so we can all assume, as a society, that she, somewhere in her album, sings about the one thing that sexy red lipstick leads to,…kissing.

If you’re less in the mood for country and more in the mood for Christmas, as I assume we all are, boy do I have a treat for you! Colbie Caillat has made a Christmas album and she didn’t do it alone. She has duets with Brad Paisley, Justin Young, Jason Reeves and last, but certainly not least, Gavin DeGraw. I think I should add the duet with Gavin is on my absolute favorite Christmas song, Baby It’s Cold Outside. The album’s name is Christmas in the Sand. (Typical Cali-Hipster turning Christmas into something other than snowflakes and Christmas trees, we all know the sand disappears in the winter.)

Merry Christmas Everyone! (Too Soon?) Never too soon.
