This week, there aren’t an abundance of cool and exciting albums coming out, but there are still a few note-worthies. The first, for all you country lovers out there, is Jason Aldean’s, Night Train. I know a few people who are really excited about this one. By few, of course I mean, at least 80% of Texas. I can’t tell you much about this one, however, because I fall into the 20% who don’t enjoy country music. Yeah, yeah, I know. How can I be a true Texan without liking country music? Well, there is only one thing I have to say about that. I don’t like Mexican food either. Today, when my friends and I went to eat at Casa Ole, I ordered peperoni pizza and chocolate pudding. Take that true Texan enthusiasts!
Also, I should add that if you are a true Texan and love American Idol. Scotty McCreery is coming out with a Christmas album Tuesday. I think he’s a little late coming out with this one. I mean, I have already seen two Christmas commercials on t.v. The Holidays are practically over already, get with it Scotty!
There are also a lot of other non-famous people coming out with albums that I’ll give a shout-out to. King Dude, K’Nann, Boys Noize, Ben Gibbard and of course, the band: Godspeed You! Black Emperor and their new album: Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!
What I’m most excited about this week though, is A Fine Frenzy’s new album, Pines. If you haven’t heard of A Fine Frenzy, I would recommend taking a peek at any, and I mean ANY of their songs. They are wonderful and will make your heart all giddy with joy and sadness and in-between-ness. I’m sure this new album will sound all woodsy and hipstery, so make sure you pack it on your next hipster camping outing.
